Welcome to Pennys in Seaton

Pennys second office opened on January 2nd 2001 and is managed by original staff member Lynne Derrick who has worked as an estate agent in East Devon for many years. Lynne is assisted by Senior Negotiator Paula Waltham and Tessa Reynolds who is the branch Secretary/Administrator with Olwyn Wyman working weekends. All of the staff live in Seaton and between them, have over 40 years experience in the Estate Agency business.

Seaton is a small, quiet seaside town with a population of just over 7,000 people. Situated in the picturesque Axe Valley, Seaton has a long pebbled beach and striking cliff formations which form part of the Jurassic Coastline renowned throughout the world. Three miles inland is the small historic town of Colyton and closeby a number of small pretty villages which include Colyford, Axmouth, Beer, Musbury, Combpyne, Kilmington, Southleigh, Northleigh and Rousdon.

Seaton still retains a strong community spirit and offers a range of shopping facilities quite typical of a small seaside resort. There are colourful public gardens, a modern cottage hospital, a marshland nature reserve, a unique electric tramway, an annual carnival, monthly farmers markets and regular amateur theatrical productions; Seaton really does have something for everyone!

Transport…..

Regular bus services link Seaton with the nearby towns of Colyton and Axminster and further afield to Sidmouth, Exeter, Lyme Regis, Bridport and Weymouth. The nearest mainline railway station is situated at Axminster with trains running direct to Exeter, Yeovil, Salisbury and London (Waterloo).

Education……

Seaton has an established, well organised primary school and the town lies within the catchment area of the highly acclaimed Colyton Grammar School although admission to this school is dependent upon passing an entrants exam. There are also alternative secondary schools located in Axminster, Sidmouth and Lyme Regis.
